Job summary

ASCEND Aerospace & Technology, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the COSMOS NASA mission operations contract at Johnson Space Center. You will work within the Systems Engineering Department to analyze requirements, guide design changes, and coordinate with COSMOS and NASA engineers across hardware and software systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or similar technical degree plus 0–5 years related experience.
• Must be able to obtain NASA PIV badge for NASA credentials.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements, user stories, and operations concepts with customers, users, and engineers.
• Perform high level requirement assessments and facilitate detailed assessments by implementing tech teams.
• Develop and maintain schedules for work components.
• Create or update documentation for design and change instruments.
• Perform post data processing, post data reduction, and data mining.
• Conduct system analysis, assessments, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition to translate requirements into hardware and software specs.
• Lead systems architecture design and integration efforts.
• Provide Systems Engineering support to implementing organizations and external customers.
• Collaborate effectively in a multi-functional team to develop ideas.
