Job summary

Acuren is recruiting an RT Level III NAS410 Inspector to support our Longview, TX operation. The role involves setting up and calibrating NDT equipment, performing tests to verify quality and identify discontinuities, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

NAS410 and RT Level III certifications are required, DR/CR a plus. The position is on-site on a 5x10 schedule, with opportunities to lead inspections and train others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college coursework preferred.
• Certified Level III RT (DR/CR a plus) required.
• NAS410 certification required.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Experience interpreting inspection results.
• State Radiographer Card/trainer status a plus.
• 40-hour Radiation Safety Training required.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Certified Level III RT (DR/CR a plus)
• NAS410 certification
• Certified Exposure Device Operator (CEDO) Course and/or NDT Foundations Course
• Additional NDT certifications preferred MT,PT,UTT,VT,PMI(any convination)
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
• Familiarization of NDE methods (conventional and advanced)
• Experience in report writing

• LOCATION REQUIREMENTS: We are currently seeking candidates who are based in or near Longview, TX or those willing to relocate. Working Conditions

• Extreme cold and extreme heat environmental conditions, in and near hazards to include proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places in excess of 100 feet, exposure to high heat, extreme cold, or exposure to chemicals, in conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin such as fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
• Adaptable to changing schedules with willingness to travel regularly, including last minute and overnight travel. Must be willing to overtime.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS & DEMANDS:

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods
• Ability to bend, kneel, and crouch as needed
• Sufficient balance and mobility to navigate various surfaces and elevations
• Sufficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for operating equipment and handling tools
• Ability to reach overhead and at various body heights
• Adequate vision (with or without correction) for detailed work
• Adequate hearing (with or without aids) to detect audible equipment indicators or alarms
• Ability to wear and operate required personal protective equipment (PPE)
