Job summary

Unique Industries, a family‑owned manufacturer in Montoursville, PA, seeks a UTILITY OPERATOR for the Napkin Printing department on 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM). You will prepare presses, load stock, mix inks, adjust pressures, and ensure color and alignment meet standards.

Cross‑trained to support the Mark Andy printing press and back up operations. Qualified candidates will have basic math, color acuity, and at least 1–3 years of manufacturing experience; High school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass Color Acuity Test.
• Ability to understand basic written and oral instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to communicate with management and coworkers to meet goals.
• Ability to run a printing press to established standards.
• 1-3 years manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing the press for scheduled runs.
• Mounting raw plate, napkin or label stock to the press.
• Determining ink formulations and transferring them to print stations.
• Adjusting printing cylinder pressure for required print quality.
• Ensuring correct web alignment and making run-time adjustments.
• Removing finished roll from rewind stand after a run.
• Adhering to safety rules and quality standards.
• Inspecting finished product for proper registration and color.
• Maintaining positive team relationships and aligning with production goals.
• Assisting with wrapper jams and roll changes as needed.
• Preparing stock on the roll stand with team support.
• Assessing product quality for subsequent packaging steps.
