Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts Store in New Jersey is seeking a Counter Sales associate to assist customers with auto parts questions in person or by phone, process transactions, and look up parts information while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor.

Must have weekend availability and be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma is required; automotive experience is preferred and ASE certification is a plus. Join our team for a flexible schedule and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior automotive experience required; ASE Certification is a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including some weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Enjoy working with people in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with their auto parts questions and needs, either in person or via the telephone.
• Handle cash and other purchasing transactions.
• Operate the electronic and paper cataloging system to retrieve up to date parts information.
• Effectively communicate features, benefits and warranty policy information to customers.
• Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude as well as professional conduct and appearance at all times.
