Job summary

Digital Biotechnologies is seeking a Scientist I to design, coordinate, and execute research experiments that advance our solid-state sequencing platform. You will generate high-quality data, build new assays, and troubleshoot technical challenges to drive strategic scientific and business goals.

Qualifications

• PhD level expertise in chemistry, materials science, nanotechnology, engineering, physics, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience characterizing nanomaterials and interfaces using standard techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design, synthesize, and characterize inorganic and organic nanomaterials and interfaces with cross-functional teams.
• Perform microscopy (AFM, TEM, optical) and analyze images to understand nanomaterial interactions.
• Independently design experiments, analyze data, troubleshoot, and plan follow-on work.
• Prioritize multiple projects and meet milestones in a fast-paced startup.
• Present findings to senior leadership and collaborators.
• Stay current with literature and emerging nanoscale sensing technologies.
