Job summary

Subsense Inc. seeks a Senior Nanoscientist to lead nanoparticle design and development for our bidirectional brain-computer interface platform.

You will own synthesis, functionalization, formulation strategies, and guide projects from lab to early production, collaborating with cross-functional teams. You have a PhD in chemistry or materials science and 5–10 years of industrial or postdoctoral experience, with a strong publication record and a track record of independent leadership in

Qualifications

Deep expertise in inorganic and organic nanoparticle synthesis, modification, and characterization.
Strong publication history in chemistry, nanoscience, and materials science.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Experience scaling nanoparticle synthesis from lab to pilot or production scale.
Ability to lead projects independently and mentor junior scientists.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of new nanoparticle technology, including synthesis, functionalization, and formulation strategies.
Set and maintain standardized characterization methods for the company.
Drive scale up of nanoparticle synthesis from lab to production scale with contractors.
Mentor junior nanoscientists and provide technical guidance.
Collaborate with academic and industrial partners to advance IP and research agenda.
Work across hardware, software, data science, and regulatory teams to integrate advances.
