About Our Family

We're a busy household with two working parents, a toddler and a new baby on the way later this year. Both parents have demanding professional roles outside the home, which means mornings are coordinated and evenings are precious family time. We're easygoing and genuinely appreciate people who show up, get things done, and bring a calm, can-do energy to the house.

Our home is warm and well-run, and we've built a good rhythm with regular cleaning and landscaping support already in place. What we're missing is the connective tissue — someone who can manage the details we don't always have time for, coordinate the vendors, keep the household running, and be a reliable partner to our family as we grow. One parent loves to cook but doesn't always have the time; the other is happiest when the logistics are handled and evenings can be dedicated to family time.

We're a family that communicates casually (group text is our style), trusts the people we work with, and gives a lot of autonomy to someone who's earned it. We don't micromanage — we want someone who takes initiative and comes to us with solutions, not questions.

This role is designed to grow with us across three phases:

Phase 1 — Before the Baby Arrives: Our older child is in full-time daycare, so the initial focus will be heavily on household management — meal prep, organization, errands, vendor coordination — alongside pre-baby setup and nursery prep.

Phase 2 — During Maternity Leave (starting February): The primary focus shifts to supporting our family by caring for our toddler when he's home, while continuing to manage key household rhythms so that mom can focus fully on the newborn.

Phase 3 — After Maternity Leave: Infant care becomes the top priority. Once both parents return to work, primary daytime care for the newborn takes precedence until the baby transitions to daycare after year one. Even as childcare takes center stage, you will own light daily maintenance — primarily family meal prep, laundry and linens, and basic kitchen reset and tidying.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who has worked in household or family support roles and genuinely thrives in a home environment. You're proactive — you notice what needs to be done and do it without being asked. You're punctual, reliable, and you communicate early and clearly when something comes up. You're resourceful enough to get three quotes for a renovation and organized enough to track grocery subscriptions, prep for houseguests, and pack a toddler's bag for a weekend trip, all in the same week. You love kids and are comfortable around little ones, knowing that the childcare component of this role will grow significantly over time. Former nannies looking to step into a household management role — or experienced newborn care specialists open to a blended role — are especially encouraged to apply.

We're looking for someone whose core strength and passion is infant and childcare, and who is genuinely enthusiastic about handling household management upfront and maintaining key household rhythms over time.
