New Position.  An Atlanta family who is also a returning client is hiring a full-time nanny / family assistant. They’re sadly losing their nanny of 4 years.

The family would prefer a candidate who has former teaching experience along with private home nanny credentials. The children’s ages range from 8 – 16 years old. Their current nanny incorporates quite a bit of Spanish in her daily conversations with the children. The family would prefer to hire someone fluent in Spanish, but it’s not a requirement. Additionally, the family is seeking someone who is familiar with working in a fully staffed setting and can become a part of the team. You will have an opportunity to work with the current nanny until she transitions out of the position.

This family is very organized and will provide your monthly schedule 30 days in advance. Defined hours are Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Some days start earlier and end earlier. Other days can start later and end later. The majority of the position will be keeping the children’s schedules, calendars, driving children to all activities and getting the children where they need to be daily and on time.

With the children being older, the travel schedule and weekend requests are minimal and optional. This position requires a lot of daily driving, IT skills, especially with the school system used for homework and assignments. There will also be other requests assisting the Mom while children are in school.

Duties include:

  • Schedule and drive children to doctor appointments
  • Order and restock dog toys, kid’s toiletry items, new sizes for children’s and clothes, shoes, etc.
  • Put outgrown clothes in donation boxes
  • Purchase snacks and drinks and restock snack drawer and pantry weekly
  • Purchase sports equipment for children
  • Walk/exercise 2 large and energetic dogs, take to vet appointments as needed
  • Refill and pickup prescriptions and ensure all supplements are always stocked and readily available
  • Set up weekly medications and supplements for children
  • Clean out and organize mudroom lockers weekly
  • Space organization to include bookshelves, playrooms, craft / project room, toiletry cabinet, storage rooms, etc.
  • Picking up food
  • Alterations / dry cleaners
  • Dropping off bags for overnights at friend’s house
  • In-store / ship out returns
  • Set up balloons/decoration for birthday parties
  • Purchase and wrap gifts as needed
  • Schedule car maintenance appointments for nanny vehicle

Qualifications: Family is seeking a long-term nanny who has prior experience working in a private home in a similar capacity. Must have the following: Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification, excellent driving record and able to clear an extensive nationwide background check. Excellent command of English both written and verbal, legal status to work in the US. Fluent in Spanish is a plus. Family will only consider candidates who provide recent and verifiable references.
