Job summary

The Essex Resort & Spa is seeking a Nail Technician to provide exceptional nail services including manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements while upholding the resort’s cleanliness and hospitality standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current license, nail technician or cosmetologist as required by the State.
• Self-motivated and confident working independently or with team members
• At least one year of professional nail care experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented with a commitment to sanitation and safety
• Team player with a professional, polished appearance

Responsibilities

• Ability to give meticulous manicure, pedicure, artificial nail application and hand/foot treatments.
• Consult with the guest to ensure expectations are met for a pleasurable visit, may include site tour.
• Prepare nail care equipment, sanitize instruments, treatment areas and supplies daily, and complete all tasks necessary for opening and closing shifts.
• On-time attendance is necessary and uninterrupted work is expected.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time and lift 15 pounds.

BASIC FUNCTION:

The Nail Technician is responsible for providing exceptional nail services, including manicures, pedicures and nail enhancements, while delivering outstanding guest experiences. This role supports the resort and spa’s high standards of cleanliness, professionalism and hospitality. Bonus if you’re passionate about nail art!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to give meticulous manicure, pedicure, artificial nail application and hand/foot treatments.
• Consult with the guest to ensure expectations are met for a pleasurable visit, may include site tour.
• Prepare nail care equipment, sanitize instruments, treatment areas and supplies daily, and complete all tasks necessary for opening and closing shifts.
• On-time attendance is necessary and uninterrupted work is expected.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time and lift 15 pounds.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain the cleanliness of the salon area, and rest of the Spa area as needed.
• Maintain consistent stock of supplies throughout entire Spa.
• Attend product knowledge training as required.
• Keep current and up to date knowledge of changing trends and developments in the department.
• Respond to any special projects requested by the Spa Director, Spa Manager or Assistant Spa Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

• High school graduate or equivalent.
