Summary
Provides outstanding service to our members and their guests in a professional and courteous manner. All members and guests must feel as if they are greeted and treated as a VIP throughout their entire spa experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrives to work with ample time to assist with preparation of infused waters and to setup salon to begin member services promptly at 9:00 a.m.
- Meets and greets all members and guests by name and introduces themselves to all new members.
- Encourages pre-booking and anticipates requested/repeat clients’ needs and preferences.
- Provides high-quality nail treatments (manicures and pedicures) and ensures that all treatments are carried out according to regulatory and Club standards. Upholds strict standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and company standards.
- Performs all duties such as removing and applying polish, exfoliating, cleaning, trimming, and filing nails, and massaging and moisturizing hand and feet for each service as outlined in the service protocols.
- Performs services within allotted time frame for each treatment as outlined in our menu.
- Remains current of services and products offered by The Spa and participates in and promotes events, specials, and retail products to members/guests.
- Addresses any concerns with clients. Advises clients about nail and skin care for hands and feet and informs client of any nail conditions that may require medical or additional attention.
- Maintains neat and professional treatment areas. Stocks products and linens. Cleans, disinfects and sterilizes equipment and instruments following guidelines and salon room protocols distributed during orientation.
- Documents each pedicure in daily log as per the State of Florida Department of Health.
Other Functions
- Presents a professional and well groomed appearance. Company issued name tag and uniforms must be worn at all times. Uniform must be laundered and pressed.
- Maintains a constructive attitude and add toward a quality work environment.
- Attends training classes and product learning sessions as requested.
- Assists with opening and closing procedures. Inspects all rooms for cleanliness and appearance.
- Assists with folding and stocking of all linens utilized throughout the spa.
- Attends staff meetings as requested by Spa Manager.
- Notifies Spa Manager when spa supplies are needed.
Complies with attendance rules and follows schedule as posted. Arrives thirty (30) minutes prior to scheduled work time. May be required to stay beyond work schedule as needed.
Participates in testing of spa services; including written and practical testing.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
One year certificate from college or technical school; two years’ nail technician experience in upscale resort or private country club, preferred.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Current State of Florida Professional License.
- CPR/AED Certification preferred.
