Job Description

As a Manicurist and Nail Technician, you'll help clients feel confident and cared for through skilled nail services and attentive, personalized service. You'll consult with clients, recommend suitable treatments, and create polished results while keeping your workspace clean and safe. Your impact: Thoughtful nail care and clear communication help clients choose services that suit their preferences and support healthy nails.

Responsibilities

• Provide manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, nail extensions, and acrylic nail applications.
• Assess nail condition, discuss client preferences, and apply color theory when recommending colors and designs.
• Follow salon safety protocols and established sanitation and disinfection procedures for tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Deliver welcoming customer service, communicate service options clearly, and support retail sales through appropriate recommendations and upselling.
• Coordinate with salon colleagues and, when qualified and assigned, assist with related services such as hair extensions, hair threading, body waxing, hair styling, eyelash extensions, esthetic laser treatments, dermabrasion, or barbering.

Requirements

• Demonstrated nail care skills and experience working in the beauty industry; cosmetology education or credentials are valued where applicable.
• Knowledge of manicure and pedicure techniques, gel products, nail extensions, acrylic application, color theory, sanitation, disinfection, and salon safety protocols.
• Strong customer service, client communication, and general communication skills.
• Retail sales experience and familiarity with retail math and upselling are helpful.
• Related beauty-service skills, including hair extensions, hair threading, body waxing, hair styling, eyelash extensions, esthetic laser treatment, dermabrasion, or barbering, are nice to have — not required.
