US Foot & Ankle Specialists in McLean, VA, is seeking a Medical Nail Technician to join our podiatry team. In this role you will provide routine and at-risk foot care in a clinical setting alongside podiatrists and healthcare providers.

This opportunity is ideal for a licensed Nail Technician or Cosmetologist with 5+ years of pedicure experience who wants to contribute to patient health and comfort while working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Active state license as a manicurist or cosmetologist.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional pedicure or nail technician experience.
• Ability to work well with patients, staff and the public.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Cross-train with medical assistant or front desk tasks as needed.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

• Perform routine and at-risk foot care pedicures in a clinical setting
• Treat all patients with compassion, professionalism, and respect
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized workspace

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

• Active manicurist or cosmetologist license from the designated state
• 5+ years of professional experience as a pedicurist or nail technician
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, other employees, and the public
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Must have a team mentality, flexibility and willingness to learn
• Must be dependable, punctual, and have a team-first attitude
• Knowledge of HIPAA and commitment to patient privacy
• Technologically savvy and proficient in Microsoft 365 products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
