Job summary

United States Space Force is seeking a qualified Accounting Specialist for the 61st Force Support Squadron, located at Los Angeles Air Force Base, El Segundo, CA. The role is Regular Full Time with a 35-hour work week and potential up to 40 hours, eligible for leave and benefits.

Open to applicants with comprehensive accounting knowledge and hands-on experience across core areas, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and asset management.

Qualifications

• Must have comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Systems.
• Experience in at least 6 AO areas: AR, AP, GL, Inventory, Payroll, Central Cashier, Banking, Capital Assets.
• Understand General Ledger Account Codes and forms used to process GL transactions.
• NAF Accounting experience desired.
• Ability to analyze, evaluate, and investigate transactions and interpret data in financial statements.
• Knowledge of procurement actions, documents and procedures including PRs, bids, POs, contracts, and monitoring contract compliance is preferred.
• Experience supervising 3 or more employees.
• Must possess general computer skills.
• Subject to satisfactory completion and maintenance of a Tier-3 background investigation.
