Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a NAC Delivery Specialist to deliver batteries and provide exceptional service to National Account customers and dealers within your territory. You will represent the company professionally, ensure on-time deliveries, and maintain accurate route records.

You will load/unload trucks safely, keep displays clean and rotated, and manage dealer accounts including sales, warranties, and invoicing.

Qualifications

• High school graduate (or equivalent).
• Able to read, write, and compute basic math.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience required.
• Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of electronic inventory management tools (tablets, scanners).
• Must have a clean driving record AND meet driver qualifications requirements
• Must have and maintain a valid DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver batteries and provide service to National Account customers on your route.
• Load and unload trucks safely and maintain accurate inventory of assets.
• Keep displays full, clean, and rotated per National Account agreement.
• Manage a dealer account, including sales, consignment, warranties, rotates, cash collection, and invoicing.
• Complete delivery/route transactions and related paperwork promptly.
• Interact professionally with team members, managers, and customers.
• Follow driver program requirements as specified by the manager.
• Collect and return junk/used batteries to the warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned, including battery delivery to non-National accounts.

Purpose Of Job

The NAC Delivery Specialist delivers batteries and provides exceptional customer service to National Account customers and dealers within their territory.

Job Components

• Deliver batteries and provide service to each National Account customer on your route in a safe and timely manner.
• Load and unload trucks safely and maintain an accurate account of all company assets.
• Keep displays and product clean, full, and rotated per National Account agreement.
• Accountable for managing a dealer account, including but not limited to: sales, consignment, warranties, rotates, cash collection, and invoicing.
• Complete delivery/route transactions and other paperwork on a timely basis.
• Interact professionally with all stakeholders, including team members, managers, and customers.
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager.
• Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned, including battery delivery and service to non-National account customers.

• Able to work overtime if requested. Depending on location, the ability to work one or more overnight routes per week may be required.

Work Environment

• Exposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

• Exposed to the hazards of the road when operating or riding in a vehicle
• Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs
