Job summary

Interstate Batteries is hiring for a route sales/delivery position in California. You will service a set of National Account dealers, sell batteries, rotate stock, maintain dealer displays, and keep records up to date while building strong relationships.

The role requires a CDL, a clean driving record, and 2+ years in sales and delivery. You’ll need good communication, customer service skills, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs in a dynamic warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CDL and have clean driving record.
• 2+ years of sales, customer service and delivery experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to read, write and perform basic math.
• High school diploma or GED required.

• Sell new batteries to National Account dealers
• Rotate batteries and collect cores

• Complete documentation on a timely basis

Purpose of Job:

• Service each National Account dealer
• Establish, build and maintain good dealer relationships
• Complete documentation on a timely basis
• Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to Distributorship.

Qualifications:

• Prior sales experience highly desirable
• Good communication skills
• Strong customer service skills.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Current, valid state driver’s license
• Ability to read, write and compute basic math.
• Minimum 2 years demonstrated sales , customer service and delivery experience

Work Environment

• Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Ability to lift and/or move 50+ lbs.
• Exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.
