Job summary

Interstate Batteries seeks a driven field sales professional to consistently service and aggressively expand an assigned set of customers along a predefined route.

You will sell batteries to National Account dealers, rotate batteries, maintain dealer displays, and service each account while building lasting relationships. A current CDL and strong driving record are required; prior sales and excellent customer service are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CDL and have clean driving record.
• Prior sales experience highly desirable
• Good communication skills
• Strong customer service skills.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Current, valid state driver’s license
• Ability to read, write and compute basic math.
• Minimum 2 years demonstrated sales, customer service and delivery experience

Responsibilities

• Sell new batteries to National Account dealers

Uses frequent independent judgment when making decisions Work Environment Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk. Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Ability to lift and/or move 50+ lbs. Exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals.
