NA/UC - Nursing Assistant Unit Clerk - Springfield Regional Medical Center

Join our team as a Nursing Assistant Unit Clerk at Springfield Regional Medical Center and help us deliver high-quality healthcare in our community.

Position Overview

This role provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or healthcare professional, following all applicable regulations and policies. It is a full-time position, represented by a collective bargaining agreement.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Assist with basic patient care, including comfort, hygiene, vital signs, and mobility.
  2. Act as a liaison between patients and nurses, reporting changes or concerns.
  3. Deliver high-quality customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
  4. Accurately document patient care activities and observations.
  5. Communicate professionally and effectively at all times.
Qualifications
  • Experience in acute or long-term care preferred.
  • Excellent communication and understanding of healthcare standards.
  • Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols.
  • Clerical skills and familiarity with office technology.
  • Ability to document patient data accurately.
  • Compassionate approach to patient care.
Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
  • Completion of PCT training or equivalent, or current nursing student with clinical rotation completed.
Education

High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
