Job summary

PEI is seeking a Senior Reporter for its New York office to drive North American coverage. You will generate story ideas, build a strong contact book, and craft exclusive content across short and long-form formats.

You will work closely with the Americas editor and Editor-in-Chief to shape coverage, while maintaining strong relationships with managers, investors and advisors. Autonomy and editorial leadership are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• Experience in journalism or related field is essential.
• Developing a network of contacts among senior professionals is important.
• Ability to break off-diary stories.
• Ability to write analysis.
• Exceptional organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to research market trends.
• Ability to turn complex data into accessible editorial content.
• Strong understanding of print and digital journalism.

Responsibilities

• Write and post news, features, op-eds, and multimedia items regularly.
• Pitch content ideas and canvass latest trends in the asset class.
• Generate exclusive and proprietary content regularly.
• Assist with curating content hubs and newsletter send-outs.
• Host, transcribe and write roundtables.
• Engage with market sources and develop new contacts to drive stories.
• Collaborate with Research & Analytics for data usage.
• Cooperate with PEI Events team to moderate discussions at company events.
