Job summary

Circle K in Raleigh, NC is seeking a seasoned NA Claims Director to lead the claims strategy across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. You will guide General Liability, Property Damage, and Canada Claims while shaping standards for investigation, reserving, settlement, and litigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of casualty, automobile, property damage, litigation, or corporate claims experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience with managers or geographically dispersed teams.
• Experience managing complex, litigated, high-severity, and catastrophic claims and overseeing TPAs, insurers, and defense counsel.
• Strong knowledge of reserving, settlement evaluation, litigation strategy, claims analytics, and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated executive communication, negotiation, change leadership, and cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities

• Lead North American claims strategy and operating model across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
• Provide leadership to General Liability and Litigation, Property Damage, Canadian Claims, and supporting teams.
• Establish standards for investigation, reserving, escalation, settlement, litigation, subrogation, and closure.
• Oversee complex, high-exposure, catastrophic matters; direct mediation and trial-readiness strategies.
• Govern TPAs, insurers, defense counsel, investigation vendors, and service providers.
• Monitor frequency, severity, reserve development, litigation, legal spend, and service outcomes.
• Own claims process and reporting for ServiceNow, Riskonnect, and carrier systems.
• Standardize incident-to-claim workflows and preservation of evidence.
• Develop leaders, establish succession plans, and align resources with workload.
• Partner on renewals, actuarial reviews, and executive reporting.
