Job summary

TechSource, a Salas O'Brien Company, is hiring a full-time Action Officer to support the NA-19 Front Office and its nuclear deterrence mission with the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Office of Defense Programs (DP).

Onsite daily at the DOE Headquarters Forrestal Building in Washington, DC, with a hybrid schedule allowing up to 2 days telework per week after training and workload permitting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in policy, political science, engineering, or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of DOE/NNSA program management experience or similar government/policy background.
  • Active Q or Top Secret security clearance.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio and support the NA-19 front office with day-to-day activities: taskers, correspondence, scheduling, and related items.
  • Coordinate read-ahead materials for senior leaders.
  • Attend meetings and review documents on cross-program topics with NA-19 equities.
  • Interface with DP and NNSA offices including Congressional Affairs.
  • Draft documents and presentations conveying complex program/technical issues for decision makers.
  • Drive process improvement and create plans to meet front office deliverables.

The expected base salary range for this role is $115,000 - $120,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
