Job summary

Alstom in Nola (NA) is seeking a Materials Scheduler to define and execute the services material scheduling and inventory strategy in coordination with Industrialization and Operations.

You will guarantee material availability, optimize inventory coverage, and implement MRP parameters in SAP, working with global planning. Fluency in Italian and English is required; 1–2 years in a similar role. Permanent contract in a dynamic, international mobility leader.

Qualifications

• Degree in Economics, Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in the same role.
• Strong Excel knowledge.
• Familiarity with SAP MM Materials Management.

Responsibilities

• Guarantee material availability through scheduling and follow-up.
• Improve inventory management and service performance.
• Define order-reorder strategy to reduce stock-outs.
• Set parts categories to define planning strategy.
• Provide forecast of material needs to sourcing.
• Define and implement planning improvements.
• Support planning and forecasts as defined by Global Planning.
• Define and set up MRP parameters in SAP.
• Improve planning tools using historical data.
• Analyze inventory content to adjust planning strategies.

MATERIAL SCHEDULER

Purpose of the job

Define and execute the Services Material scheduling and Inventory strategy according to customer needs and internal constraints and in coordination with Industrialization and Operations departments

Accountabilities

• Guarantee material availability through appropriate needs scheduling and follow-up


• Improve Services performance in term of material availability and inventory management


• Define the order-reorder strategy to optimize the inventory coverage reducing the stock-out occurrences


• Set parts categories (based on ABC, variability, business type...etc) for defining planning strategy and line replenishment


• Provide to sourcing department the forecast of the material needs and the list of priorities in terms of source of supplying to be contractualized


• Define and implement action plans and improvements in the planning process


• Support Planning and Forecasts planning strategy defined by Global Planning


• Define and set-up MRP parameters to implement material planning strategies and ensure the data accuracy on SAP


• Improve of the specific tools used for planning, based on the historical data and according to the customer plan


• Analyze Inventory content for correcting planning strategies.


• Support finance for inventory depreciation calculation


• Implement and manage improvement plan in regard of Inventory reduction


• Measure performance in Supply Chain processes and create reports for analysis

Competencies & Skills

• Degree in Economics, Engineering or related field


• Previuos experience in the same role (1 or 2 years)


• Good Knowledge Office pack specially Excel


• Knowledge ERP SAP (MM Material Management)


• Fluent Italian, good Knowledge English language


• Flexibility, Teamworking, Result Orientation, Problem Solving and Proactive Approach complete the profile
