Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking an experienced Oracle MySQL Database Architect to design scalable MySQL architectures and drive performance tuning in production environments.

This role offers remote work within the USA and requires hands-on expertise in replication, HA/DR, backups, and migrations. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure best practices, monitor health and security, and troubleshoot complex production issues.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of MySQL DBA/architecture experience.
• Hands-on MySQL installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations.
• Experience in replication, HA/DR, backups and recovery.
• Strong Linux/Unix knowledge and cloud experience (AWS/Azure) a plus.

Role: Oracle My SQL Database Architect

Location: Remote- USA

Job Summary: Looking for a hands-on Oracle MySQL Database Architect with strong experience in database architecture, performance tuning, high availability, and production database environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable MySQL database architectures.
• Provide hands-on expertise in MySQL installation, configuration, upgrades, and migrations.
• Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Design and manage HA, replication, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Work with development and infrastructure teams on database design and best practices.
• Monitor database health, capacity, security, and availability.
• Troubleshoot complex production database issues.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of experience with MySQL Database Administration/Architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with MySQL, SQL, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with MySQL Replication, InnoDB, HA/DR, backup & recovery.
• Experience with database migration and upgrade projects.
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
