REQUIREMENTS:
Must have NYS Teaching Assistant certification
Must meet NYSED Fingerprinting requirements
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
Knowledge of various assessment tools (running records, etc)
Experience in implementing instructional resources and activities provided by a classroom teacher in order to meet students’ needs and encourage student growth and progress across content areas
Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds who have diverse developmental and academic skills and needs
Desire to grow as a part of a professional community in order to support instructional practice, student learning, and students’ overall growth and achievement
Possess exemplary interpersonal skills and tools for collaboration with all school faculty, staff, administrators, and families in service to students
Other responsibilities, as assigned, based on the needs of the school and its student
