Responsibilities and Requirements

• Meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and complete background investigations, including fingerprinting and forms.
• Pass the E-Verify employment verification check; resolve any discrepancies.
• Perform duties requiring standing, sitting, walking, and lifting 50 pounds or more.
• Work hours may include early, late shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid certifications.
• Obtain certification from a nationally recognized agency in exercise science within 90 days if not already certified.

Qualifications

• One-year supervisory experience in a fitness center.
• Knowledge of strength training machines and cardiovascular equipment.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance of exercise equipment.
• Experience with exercise physiology, prescription, and assessments, including graded exercise testing and body composition analysis.
• Experience counseling individuals on fitness results and lifestyle changes.
• Ability to identify risk factors and assist in risk modification.
• Ability to evaluate and improve fitness programs.
• Strong presentation, record-keeping, and communication skills.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Certification from a recognized agency such as ACSM, ACE, or Cooper Clinic within 90 days of employment.
