Job summary

NAVSTA Mayport is seeking a qualified candidate to join the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Community Recreation/Outdoor Adventures team. The role supports a variety of programs, events, information resources, and operations to enhance the community’s leisure time and morale.

You will coordinate special events, trips, tours, equipment rental, and services, maintain records, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and partners while ensuring compliance with policies and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Combination of experience related to customer service and/or recreation activity functions.
• Ability to organize, plan, administer special events and entertainment activities.
• Must communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of leisure time activities and recreational program operations.
• Proficiency with computers, office procedures, and print production.

Responsibilities

• Support MWR Community Recreation/Outdoor Adventures program activities and events.
• Assist with recreation information/resources, trips, tours, and equipment rental.
• Coordinate venue setup, ticketing, and coordination with visiting ships or fleets.
• Maintain records and assist with data for reports.
