Job summary

A leading services supplier in the Pharmaceutical industry is seeking a Lab Tech I to perform laboratory analytical tests on raw materials and finished products according to strict compliance with policies and regulations. Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in Science, preferably in Chemistry, and exhibit basic knowledge of laboratory techniques. This position requires working the Third shift and may include weekends and holidays.

We are seeking a talented, dedicated individual committed to work under the highest ethics standards for the following position:

• Lab Tech I

Purpose: The Laboratory Technician I performs laboratory analytical tests on raw materials and finished products following the established parameters (policies, FDA, cGMP) and applicable regulations without impact to the manufacturing cycle or the laboratory workflow. This position must comply with all security guidelines, Environmental Health and Safety regulations and current Good Laboratory (cGLP) and Good Manufacturing (cGMP) Practices required by the job functions.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing laboratory analytical tests on the raw materials and finished products following the established parameters (policies, FDA, cGMP) and applicable regulations without impact to the manufacturing cycle or the laboratory workflow.
• Ensure test and/or analysis are accurately and documented.
• Perform preventive maintenance to the laboratory equipment, as applicable.
• Prepare presentations, as required, for example Invalid Test Investigation.
• Assure that all samples are collected, tested, and authorized according to schedule and following applicable procedures.
• Resolve typical technical problems with minimum supervision.
• Complete training and certifications on time as established in the training curriculum.
• Actively participate in the training of new employees.
• Responsible for the coordination and distribution of tasks, when required.
• Provide assistance to operations in accordance with environmental management, occupational health and safety (EHS) systems and promote continuous improvement. Comply with all EHS procedures and policies including incident reporting, use of PPE, waste management and disposal, and any other program applicable according to the position duties.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Science required. Major in Chemistry is strongly preferred.

• Must possess and demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under minimal supervision.

• Shift Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday. Candidates may do shift rotations, work weekends, holidays and overtime.
