Job summary

RESA Power is seeking a Field Tech to install, splice, and terminate medium voltage cable systems (5KV–35KV) to support field operations and fulfill customer orders. The role requires flexibility to travel and work on customer sites, with a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience, plus proficiency with splicing tools and testing equipment, and knowledge of OSHA and industry standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field.
• Experience in cable termination and splicing required.
• Effectively use specialized tools and equipment required for cable splicing and termination.
• Knowledge of OSHA and state safety standards.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as NETA, OSHA, IEEE and NFPA.
• Proven mechanical skills with low/high voltage equipment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Able to communicate orally and in writing; work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform splicing and termination of shielded MV power cables using hand-applied tape, connectors, and heat-shrink technologies.
• Ensure secure connections to support reliable operation of electrical systems.
• Conduct electrical testing on spliced cables to verify functionality and standards compliance.
• Maintain quality to meet regulatory and company standards.
• Troubleshoot, test, maintain, redesign, rebuild, retrofit, and repair electrical equipment as assigned.
