Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mutual Fund Accounting Operations Specialist to research, interpret, validate, and apply corporate action events for mutual funds and ETFs.

You will analyze announcements, determine appropriate accounting treatment, and ensure accurate processing within fund accounting systems. The role requires strong analytical skills, collaboration with portfolio managers, custodians, and pricing vendors, and a focus on risk management and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent work experience.
• 1–2 years of accounting/finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and process all mandatory and voluntary corporate action events.
• Analyze event announcements to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
• Validate event details from custodians, vendors, issuers, and other sources.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing within fund accounting systems.
• Identify and resolve breaks, discrepancies, and exceptions.
