Archdiocese of San Antonio is seeking a Part-Time Temporary Musician to perform music at parish services, including Sunday Vigil Mass, with occasional weddings, funerals, and other liturgical events as required.
The role involves animating the Sunday Liturgy and providing a musical environment, with a rotation basis and an expectant schedule limited to 1–3 masses per week. Proficiency in piano, organ, or guitar is preferred.
Employment Status: Part-Time Temporary (Substitute As Needed)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Schedule: Saturday, Sunday Masses and Holy Days of Obligation (Approx 1-3 Masses per week)
Reports to: Pastor
The Musician will be responsible for performing music at various parish services, including Sunday Vigil Mass and may be contracted to perform at weddings, funerals and other liturgical events as necessary. The Musician will be responsible for animating the Sunday Liturgy and providing the musical environment. Musician is included in the rotation on an as needed basis, with no set schedule.
Must have demonstrated experience with various instruments specifically; piano, organ and/ or guitar.
