Job summary

Robbinsdale Armstrong High School seeks a Vocal Music Director to oversee all music aspects of a musical production. The role includes directing vocal performances, coordinating with directors and choreographers, and leading auditions for cast and chorus.

  • Assists Artistic Director and Choreographer with casting the show.
  • Teaches cast and chorus all vocal selections.
  • Communicates vocal needs to the Choreographer.
  • Hires Rehearsal Accompanist.
  • Selects music for auditions.
  • Submits vocal rehearsal schedule to Artistic Director for master schedule.
  • Runs vocal rehearsals.
  • Communicates tempos and other musical needs to the Orchestra Conductor.
  • Attends all run throughs and dress rehearsals.
  • Creates a microphone plot. Coordinates with the Sound Engineer for microphone checks.

General Description
