JOB DESCRIPTION: This is a .6 FTE position located at Gunston Middle School . RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be knowledgeable of the academic, social, and emotional developmental needs of young adolescents. Must be team oriented and able to work cohesively with others and meet timelines. Must be organized with excellent written and oral communication skills. EXPERIENCE: Experience teaching middle school students. Successful teaching experience and curricular knowledge. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure. Must be endorsed in instrumental music. Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
