Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, seeks a Music Therapist to assess, design, implement, and evaluate music therapy interventions addressing psychosocial, emotional, physiological, and physical needs of adult patients and families in palliative and end-of-life contexts.

The role includes developing individualized treatment plans, maintaining clinical documentation, collaborating with the health care team, and educating staff on therapeutic benefits in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Experience <1 year (6 months to 1 year) of related experience.
• Music Therapist Board Certification Upon Hire and CPR AED.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and assess evidence-based music therapy interventions addressing psychosocial, emotional, physiological, and physical needs.
• Create and manage patient treatment plans and maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with health care team on program planning and growth.
• Maintain departmental standards and ongoing responsibilities.
• Educate staff on benefits of music therapy across disciplines.
