Job summary

HOKALI in Manteca, CA is seeking a Music Theory Educator to lead after-school theatre programs for TK through 8th grade. You will teach music theory, guide acting exercises, and create a fun, inclusive learning environment.

You will plan lessons, manage class behavior with positive reinforcement, ensure student safety, and maintain attendance records. The role runs 8/24/2026 to 12/18/2026 with an hourly rate of $50.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the US.
• Complete 3 hours of online training prior to start date (Concussion Training, Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR).
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach Music Theory to TK–8th grade students.
• Lead acting exercises, improvisation games, storytelling, and performances.
• Foster confidence, creativity, communication, and teamwork through theatre activities.
• Adapt lessons for different ages and learning styles.
• Maintain attendance and incident records and keep space engaging and safe.
• Schedule and prepare materials; ensure student safety at all times.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Music Theory Educators to join our growing team and lead engaging after-school theatre programs for elementary and middle school students. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about acting, storytelling, and creative expression, and who enjoy creating a fun, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

In this role, you will:

• Teach Music Theory to students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade
• Ensure student safety and well-being at all times
• Plan and lead engaging acting exercises, improvisation games, storytelling activities, and creative performances
• Foster confidence, creativity, communication, and teamwork through theatre-based activities
• Adapt lessons to different ages, experience levels, and learning styles
• Effectively manage student behavior using positive reinforcement
• Maintain accurate attendance and incident records
• Prepare and organize activity materials, keeping the learning space clean, safe, and engaging
• Schedule: TBC Hourly Pay Rate: $50
• Estimated Start Date 8/24/2026 - Estimated End Date 12/18/2026

Requirements
