Job Title: Music Teacher

Job Status: Permanent/Full Time

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Music Teacher for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, who will inspire and educate our PreK-8th grade students. You will play a crucial role in nurturing their musical talents and fostering a lifelong appreciation for music. This position involves teaching a comprehensive music curriculum aligned with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia guidelines, directing our school choir, and producing two annual shows: the Christmas Show and the Junior High Spring Show.

Duties:

• Plan, develop, and write lesson plans following the Archdiocese of Philadelphia curriculum in music
• Deliver engaging and age-appropriate music instruction to each homeroom once per week.
• Direct and manage the school choir, including one after-school rehearsal per week and singing once a month at weekend parish mass
• Plan and direct two shows each year: Christmas Show and Spring Show
• Communicate with parents about students’ progress
• Establish and maintain an educational environment consistent with instructional goals
• Manage student behavior to encourage the best possible student educational experience
• Evaluate students’ academic growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare various reports

Requirements:

• Teacher certification preferred
• Strong musical skills
• Experience in choral direction preferred
• Updated clearances
  • Pennsylvania State Police Background Check
  • Child Abuse Clearance
  • FBI fingerprinting
