Job Description

St. Joan of Arc is seeking a shared-time Music Teacher. The role involves teaching Music to Grades K through 8 (19 sections). The teacher reports to St. Joan of Arc but is employed through a third-party employer, SES. This is a full-time position through SES, with responsibilities across multiple schools.

Responsibilities

• Support the mission and vision of St. Joan of Arc Catholic School.
• Create high levels of student engagement and learning.
• Teach a range of music and prepare students for a Christmas concert.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Establish positive relationships with students.
• Maintain a disciplinary approach that promotes self-direction and confidence.
• Communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with school administration on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be approved by the Michigan Department of Education with a valid Michigan teaching certificate (Elementary or Secondary Education).
• Experience teaching Music to elementary and/or middle school students.
• Meet all requirements of SES, the third-party employer.
