We are seeking a devoted Part Time Music Teacher, preferably bi-lingual in English and Spanish, to inspire young minds through music at the Basilica School of St. Paul. The ideal candidate will teach elementary school music, lead student choirs during Wednesday and occasional Saturday masses, as well as assist the church music director in a positive and Catholic identity-filled environment for elementary students.

Responsibilities

• Provide an appropriate educational atmosphere which encourages positive student learning and participate in a dynamic setting with other classroom teachers, administrators, curriculum specialists and other staff members in the development and implementation of the school’s programs and goals.
• Plan and implement hands-on lesson plans for students in collaboration with administrators and instructional teams.
• Diagnose and analyze student needs to provide appropriate instruction.
• Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to meet the individual needs of students.
• Lead student choirs during Wednesday and occasional Saturday masses.
• Assist the church music director in a Catholic identity-filled environment for elementary students.
• Maintain accurate student academic records and attendance records.
• Cooperate with the principal and staff in school-related meetings, activities and projects.
• Participate in Diocese of Orlando Diocesan Catechist Certification Program and in school-sponsored professional development programs.
