Job summary

Academy of Music is hiring qualified music teachers for piano, voice, guitar, drums, and strings at their Jenison and Grand Rapids locations. Ideal candidates will have a warm personality and be great with kids. Responsibilities include teaching weekly lessons, preparing students for recitals, and recording lessons for missed classes.

Jenison Academy of Music is part of the Academy of Music in Grand Rapids, the largest professional music lesson studio in West Michigan with 800+ students. The Academy of Music is hiring qualified music teachers for piano, voice, guitar, drums, and strings at both their Jenison and Grand Rapids locations. A college degree in music is NOT required. Teaching and performance experience are helpful. A warm personality and ability to help students achieve their goals are important personality traits.

Music Teacher Responsibilities:

• Teach weekly private music lessons
• Teach 1-2 group make-up classes each year
• Record lessons or teach live video lessons when students miss a lesson
• Prepare students for and attend annual winter and spring recitals
