Position Overview

Seeking a part-time music teacher to instruct K-8th grade General Music and a middle school elective, approximately 2-2.5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Promote teachings aligned with Catholic principles and uphold moral standards.
• Hold a valid diocesan teacher’s contract and Kansas teaching license.
• Collaborate with the principal to foster a faith community among faculty, staff, and students.
• Carry out teaching duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Develop strong relationships with parents, emphasizing their role as primary educators.
• Integrate moral values throughout the curriculum and activities.
• Create a respectful classroom environment that respects every child's dignity.
• Implement diocesan curriculum, policies, and guidelines.
• Plan and execute instructional activities to help students achieve learning outcomes.
• Supervise students diligently at all times.
• Maintain professionalism in manner, appearance, punctuality, and performance.
• Participate in professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Comply with diocesan policies on child abuse prevention (VIRTUS).
• Avoid using the school for personal profit through sales or publications.
• Fulfill contractual obligations conscientiously.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Principal or administrators.

Qualifications

Kansas State Certification as an Elementary Teacher.

Additional Requirements
