Description

Transfiguration Catholic School is seeking a part-time Music Teacher. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic, able to demonstrate knowledge of and love for the classical and traditional heritage of the Church’s treasury of sacred music and will be capable of teaching that knowledge and love to students. The candidate will demonstrate knowledge of teaching music in a classroom setting with a focus on developing a strong choral tradition within the school.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will :

  • Possess a BA degree in Education or a related field. Experience teaching in a classroom and vocal music experience preferred.
  • Possess and maintain a current Minnesota teaching license in the level and / or area of specialty in which they teach or satisfy the MNSAA requirements.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and acceptance of Catholic doctrine, promote the mission of Transfiguration and desire to be a positive and productive staff member.
  • Successfully complete the Essential 3 requirements – Virtus training, background check, and Code of Conduct.
  • Possess the ability to communicate positively with Transfiguration students, parents, staff, administration, parishioners, and the broader community as an ambassador of Transfiguration.
  • Computer skills that include the use of Microsoft products, Apple applications, student grading and management software, email, and internet-based programs.
