LOCATION OF POSITION: Monroe One BOCES - 41 O'Connor Road, Fairport NY 14450; Creekside School

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-Month Position, Probationary

STARTING DATE: September 2025

SALARY RANGE: $48,500 - $78,642 per school year

Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.

DEFINITION: Under the supervision of, and in cooperation with the Principal, the Music Teacher is responsible for the overall operation and administration of the music program at Creekside.

MAJOR POLICY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Music Teacher is responsible for following policies established by the Board of Education, as well as the requirements of the State of New York and the Federal government.

Duties:

1. Responsible for the coordination of all aspects of the music program at Creekside.
2. Instruct music classes to all classrooms at Creekside.
3. Establish and facilitate program-wide chorus and band.
4. Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure IEP implementation for all students.
5. Partner with Creekside Music Therapists to establish an enriching and rewarding music experience for all students.

Qualifications:

1. NYS Certification as a Music Educator.
2. Certification in Special Education and Music Therapy preferred.
3. Prior experience in working with students with developmental disabilities preferred.
4. Knowledge of Federal and NYS laws and regulations in the areas of General Education and Special Education.
5. Knowledge and experience regarding BOCES programs, services, and operations.
6. Knowledge and experience regarding Monroe One component districts’ programs, services, and operations.
7. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
