Bach To Rock (“B2R”), America’s Music School for students of all ages, is seeking Brass Teachers to work as part-time employees providing music and performance lessons at the Nashville West location.

Teachers at Bach to Rock use the B2R curriculum to provide students of all ages with an inspiring and well-balanced music education. They teach theory and technique using music that students know and love, helping develop musicians who enjoy performing, recording in our studio, and composing original music.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Teach private and semi-private lessons using Bach to Rock curriculum and cover song arrangements.
2. Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere.
3. Assess a student’s readiness to join a band or ensemble.
4. Assist at school events as needed.
5. Repair/assess equipment as needed and able.

Requirements:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of music concepts and communicate them effectively to students.
2. Have an advanced understanding of music theory and technique relevant to the primary instrument.
3. Possess effective time management and organizational skills to keep students on task.
4. Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities.
5. Be an experienced performer (solo or group).
6. Have experience working with youth and/or beginning musicians.
7. Be able to interact effectively with children and adults.
8. Pass a background check.

Bach to Rock offers flexible part-time scheduling in a fun environment, with support for marketing, scheduling, booking, and billing, allowing teachers to focus on teaching.
