Job summary

St. James School in Biddeford, Maine seeks a passionate music teacher to plan, organize, and implement the instructional program in a Catholic environment.

The role includes observing and assessing student progress, keeping detailed records, and communicating with parents. The ideal candidate holds Maine Certification (or eligibility) in Elementary Education or PreK-12 Music Teacher, a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or Music, and experience with children.

Qualifications

• Certification in Maine Elementary Education or eligibility (020) is required or preferred.
• PreK-12 Music Teacher certification (614) is an acceptable alternative.
• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Music or equivalent is required/strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

St. James School, Biddeford, Maine is seeking a passionate, faith-filled, student-centered professional to teach music. The Music Teacher plans, organizes, and implements the instructional program in a Catholic learning environment where every child is recognized as a unique child of God. Observe and assess student progress, keep detailed records, observe student behavior and progress, and communicate with parents.

The ideal candidate is a practicing Roman Catholic who is passionate about Elementary education and building a faith-filled foundation for our youngest students, and

• Maine Certification (or eligibility) in Elementary Education (020), and/or PreK-12 Music Teacher (614)
• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Music or equivalent
• Salary Commensurate with experience

This full-time position is benefit eligible including health and retirement, or part-time depending upon the candidate.
