Archdiocese of Chicago’s Old St. Patrick’s Church in Chicago’s West Loop seeks a part-time Music Ministry Assistant to support the Director of Music with office presence, music preparation, worship aid production, and hospitality tasks.

The role emphasizes reliability, organizational skill, and a heart for liturgical ministry. You’ll coordinate worship aids using InDesign, manage files, calendars, and collaborate with staff, volunteers, and vendors to keep events welcoming and timely.

Qualifications

• Practicing Roman Catholic with knowledge of and appreciation for the Catholic faith and tradition.
• Strong background in liturgical music; degree preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain organized and accessible files in compliance with Catholic canonical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Produce and coordinate worship aids for regular liturgies using Adobe InDesign; printing, assembly, delivery.
• Maintain music licensing records and submit reports through One License.
• Prepare, organize, distribute, and maintain choir music and materials.
• Manage music ministry calendars for rehearsals, events, and related facility setup needs.
• Provide administrative, logistical, and hospitality support for rehearsals, concerts, and events.
• Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and vendors to keep ministry materials accurate and timely.
