Qualifications

• Master’s degree in library science from an ALA-accredited institution or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in music.
• Experience providing library instruction.
• Knowledge of information literacy concepts and instructional practices.
• Knowledge of music history and theory.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement music information literacy initiatives with instructional design principles.
• Coordinate and deliver library instruction for music audiences in various formats (in-person, online, hybrid).
• Conduct needs assessments to identify instructional priorities and opportunities for support.
• Support College of Music initiatives and learner-centered instruction.
• Create and maintain reusable learning objects and assess instructional technologies.
• Stay current on digital educational technology and integrate effective tools.
• Coordinate outreach for the College of Music including events and communications.
• Supervise student assistants supporting design and social media.
• Collect and employ learning analytics to improve programs and outcomes.
• Collaborate across Music Library and University Libraries to develop enduring information-seeking practices.
