Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and four years' related experience required; MLS degree or Master's in a related field may be substituted for a portion of the experience requirement.
• Experience training and supervising student employees.
• Proficient with music notation software.
• Proficient with music digital audio workstation software.
• Proficient with ALMA library services platform.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Chief of the Music Library in managing day-to-day aspects of public services and technical operations within the campus music library.
• Oversees circulation and reserves services at the music library; coordinates with other campus units to fulfill patron requests.
• Coordinates technical service projects in the music library including stacks maintenance, weeding and shifting projects.
• Coordinates special projects in the music library in collaboration with other campus units; including renovations of staff and public-facing spaces.
• Coordinates special event planning and promotion in collaboration other campus offices.
• Hire, schedule, supervise and train part-time staff and work-study students. Ensure adequate coverage of service desk during operating hours.
• Assists in developing and monitoring library procedures and user service standards in line with unit, division and university-wide policies.
• Provide technical assistance to patrons using music library technology; including audiovisual playback devices, computers and music production software.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
