Job summary

Soundscapes School of Music-Stone Mountain seeks a part-time Music Instructor (Piano and Voice or Piano and Violin) for on-site teaching in Stone Mountain, GA. You will lead individual and small group lessons, plan lessons, demonstrate techniques, and guide practice to help students progress.

You will prepare students for recitals, auditions, and evaluations, maintain progress records, and communicate with families, contributing to a positive studio environment and teamwork with staff.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Music Theory and general Music knowledge to support effective instruction and student development.
• Demonstrated Music Performance skills on voice, piano, and/or violin, with the ability to model proper technique and musical expression.
• Background in Music Education, including lesson planning, assessment, and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
• Proficiency in Piano sufficient to teach beginner through intermediate students and support ear training and theory practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work respectfully with learners of diverse ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
• Prior teaching or coaching experience in private or group music settings is preferred.
• Ability to maintain punctual, reliable attendance for on-site lessons in Stone Mountain, GA, and manage a consistent part-time schedule.
• Relevant academic training (degree, diploma, or specialized coursework in Music, Music Education, or related field) is beneficial.

Role Description
