Job summary

You will prepare, lead, and assess lessons, tailor materials to each learner, and help with recital setup and basic administrative tasks.

The role emphasizes clear communication with students and families, collaboration with store staff, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior teaching experience preferred.
• Candidate must be available to teach lessons during scheduled hours at the West Music location.
• Possess an understanding of music concepts and theory and be able to communicate effectively to students of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Identify the educational needs of each student and create the appropriate learning format for their abilities.
• Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
• Explain and demonstrate musical techniques using a variety of sources.
• Prepare students for performances, contests, or assessments.
• Maintain student attendance records and other required records.
• Communicate effectively with students and parents about progress with constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with store personnel to maximize lesson experience.
• Use provided learning management tools to track student progress and attendance.
