Job summary

The Guitar Center Company in Merrillville, IN is seeking a Sr. Sales Associate to lead customer engagements, drive revenue, and mentor teammates. Bring a passion for music and a drive to hit targets.

You’ll develop product knowledge, build relationships in the local music community, maintain merchandising standards, and support store operations including opening/closing responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Passion for music with broad instrument/product knowledge.
• Proven track record in sales and meeting/exceeding targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment and help customers explore their musical passions.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets through upselling and cross-selling.
• Maintain expert-level product knowledge across guitars and recording gear.
• Build and grow customer relationships and support fellow Associates in the local music community.
• Keep merchandising visually appealing, restock shelves, and uphold store vibe.
• Lead and mentor team members; may be responsible for opening/closing as a keyholder.
