Job Description

Lakeside School, an independent 5-12 coeducational day school located in North Seattle, seeks a music director for the 8th grade’s musical, Hans Christian Andersen, Jr.

Schedule & Timeline:
Auditions: November 4-6, 2025
Rehearsals: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 3:40–5:40 p.m., mid-November to early February. Specific schedule to be determined.
Extended rehearsals: Begin week of February 2, 2026
Performances: February 10–12, 2026

Performance Note:
This production will use provided backing tracks instead of a live pit. The music director should have strong piano skills for teaching and rehearsal purposes—able to play individual vocal lines or two to three lines with chords—but performance-level accompaniment is not required. Familiarity with music editing software is highly desired.
