Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.

About Us:

Chesapeake Treatment Center, a 29-bed residential treatment center for adolescent and young adult males located in Parkville, MD (near Towson) has an immediate opening for a full time Music and Arts Activities Coordinator. The primary goal of the program is to support each youth with changing unhealthy thinking and poor decision making to more adaptive and pro-social behaviors.

Job Description:

Chesapeake Treatment Center Inc., provides a comprehensive continuum of treatment for adolescents and young adults that experience complex mental health, sexualized behaviors, trauma, substance abuse, gang and other related issues. Our programs are accredited by the Joint Commission (JCAHO).

Schedule:

Flexible- Afternoon, Night and Weekend (Required Shift: Saturday 12-9pm)

Responsibilities:

The overall responsibilities of the Activities Coordinator is to utilize various creative art forms like music, dance, art, drama, and writing as therapeutic tools to help clients explore and express their emotions, facilitating healing and personal growth by providing a safe space to process complex feelings through creative expression.

Minimum Requirements:

• Previous Education and/or Experience instructing Art and/or Music, writing/ recording music, working with at risk population, computer skills needed, self-starter, ability to work with a high-performance team on the go, work flexibility when needed.
